Welcome to Pomelo Park Irrigation Water Delivery District

Pomelo Park IWDD serves Pomelo Park and Pomelo Park Annex subdivisions with irrigation flood waters delivered to our district from the Salt River Project flood irrigation system.  With nearly 200 properties, the Pomelo Park IWDD is one of the larger residential IWDD's in Maricopa County.  All property within the boundaries of our IWDD can receive very cost effective flood irrigation for their property.  Flood irrigation is delivered every two weeks from April to September and once a month from October through March. System wide dry up for maintenance is performed typically from December to February, each year.

Our water district was established as a Maricopa County Special Taxing District, in 2016 per A.R.S., Title 48 and is governed by an elected board of trustees. Our district is a private system, owned and operated by our IWDD. Pomelo Park IWDD owns the infrastructure serving our subdivisions and while the Salt River Project (SRP) schedules and delivers flood irrigation water to our district, Pomelo Park IWDD is responsible for the private system distribution  repairs and improvements.

The Pomelo Park Irrigation Water Delivery District’s mission is to serve all property owners, in the defined district through it's business operations, flood irrigation distribution and maintenance for a sustainable infrastructure.  The water district shall endeavor to educate its users, contractors and service providers on proper flood irrigation procedures, rules, regulations and compliance.
